Snowdon Mountain Railway.

Snowdon Mountain Railway opened in 1896 and uses a double racked rail with a rotating toothed pinion to provide traction on the steep mountain gradients. The journey starts at Llanberis Station and ends at the summit of Snowdon at 3,560ft.
