Hexham Abbey.
"The Abbey and Cathedral Church of S. Andrew of
Hexham, is extremely interesting, not only on account of
its architectural features, amongst which is a Saxon crypt,
probably the crypt constructed by St. Wilfrid, the renowned
saint who built the first church of Hexham, but also on
account of its association with an early and most eventful
period of English ecclesiastical history."
