The Botanic Gardens is the oldest botanic garden in Britain and consists of three main areas: The Glasshouses, The Walled Garden, and Outside the Walled Garden. The Glasshouses contain The Conservatory, The Alpine House and Fernery, The Lily House, The Insectivorous House, The Palm House, and The Arid House. The Walled Garden includes The 1648 Collection, The Family Beds, and the National Collection of Euphorbias. Outside the Walled Garden are The Water Garden, The Herbaceous Border, The Rock Garden, The Autumn Borders, The Merton Beds, and The Vegetable Beds.
