National Slate Museum.
The National Slate Museum is located
at the Dinorwig Quarry which was opened in 1787 at the dawn of the Industrial Revolution and closed in 1969. The museum
tells the story of the Welsh slate industry through a number of buildings and structures including The Engineer's House, The Barracks, The Caban, The Sawing Sheds, The Loco Shed, The Incline and the Wagons, and The Iron and Brass Foundry.
At variuos time walks, talks and demonstrations are offered.
