The National Coal Mining Museum for England
is located at Caphouse Colliery on the western edge of the Yorkshire coalfield and provides a great day out with a unique opportunity to travel 140 metres underground down one of Britain's oldest working mines.
In addition to the Underground Tour you can also visit
Hope Pit, Museum Exhibitions, the Ponies and the Nature
Trail on this 17 acre site.
