Norton Conyers.

Norton Conyers is a late 15th century house with 17th century Dutch gables. Royal visitors include Charles 1 in 1633, James II in 1679.

Charlotte Brontë visited in 1839 and it is believed that Norton Conyers was the inspiration for Thornfield Hall of Jane Eyre including the mad woman in the attic.
