Stourhead is a Palladian styled mansion built in the 1720s
and is set within a 2,650 acre estate that includes an acclaimed landscape garden
and lake. Stourhead was built by Henry Hoare I and the Hoare family filled the house with the treasures on display
today.
Stourhead House is a National Trust property with free entry for National Trust members.
