Nash's House and New Place.

Thomas Nash was the first husband of Shakespeare's granddaughter and a wealthy property owner. The house is a well preserved Tudor building. The ground floor is decorated as it would have been in Shakespeare's day.

In 1597 Shakespeare purchased New Place that, at the time, was one of Stratford's largest houses. It was at New Place that Shakespeare died in 1616. All that remains of New Place are the foundations.
