Loseley House was built in the 1560s
and has changed little over the years.
Sir William More built the house at the request of Elizabeth I.
Much of the stone was reclaimed from the Cistercian Abbey of Waverley.
The Great Hall is the principal room of Loseley House and it contains panelling from Henry VIII's Nonsuch Palace,
a minstrel's gallery, carvings by Grinling Gibbons, and a fine collection of royal and family portraits.
