Syon House

Syon House is set in a 200 acre park on the north bank of the river Thames across the river from Kew Gardens. For over 400 years Syon House has been home to the Dukes of Northumberland.

Henry VIII is associated with Syon House as he dissolved the abbey that originally stood at this location and his fifth wife Catherine Howard was detained here prior to her execution.
