The Vyne.

The Vyne was built by William Sandys, 1st Baron Sandys of the Vyne, as a great Tudor power house. Sandys was a leading Tudor courtier and a favorite of Henry VIII and was visited by him on several occasions including once with his ill-fated wife Anne Boleyn.

The Vyne is filled with collections of fine furniture, portraits, textiles and sculpture. The gardens and grounds include an ornamental lake, woodlands and wetlands.

The Vyne is a National Trust property with free entry for National Trust members.
