Beaulieu Palace House dates from the 13th century and was the gatehouse to Beaulieu Abbey. The house has been in Lord Montagu's family since 1538 when it was bought from the crown following the dissolution of the monasteries. The house has been altered through the years and is kept in accordance with its Victorian additions.
