Sandringham House.
"In 1861 Edward VII., then Prince of Wales, acquired the
estate of Sandringham, extending to 7000 acres, as a
country residence. The present handsome building of
brick and stone, in the Tudor style, took the place of the previous plain
mansion-house in 1871."
