Big Pit National Coal Museum.
Big Pit: The National Coal Museum is an authentic
coal mine and is part of the Blaenafon World Heritage Site. The museum tells the story of
a miner's life via the Mining Galleries, the Pit Head Baths and Historic Colliery Buildings.
The museum highlight is the Underground Tour where you descend 300 feet down the mine shaft to explore original underground workings.
