Floors Castle

Floors Castle, a magnificent Georgian country house, was originally built for the 1st Duke of Roxburghe, in 1721. At the direction of the 6th Duke the castle was significantly remodelled between 1837 and 1847 by architect William Playfair. Floors boasts a significant fine art collection including 20th century post-impressionist artwork by the likes of Matisse.
